I'm not so sure about these Extra 300s

They seem incredibly difficult to control in level flight...

The pilot must have forgotten all about her instructors: "Keep your wings level!"

And the power plant isn't powerful enough.
Here the plane comes to a total stop
to tumble back to earth...

Lee Lauderback and Ed Shipley will probably not characterize their performance as aerobatics
but formations flying also demands a steady hand and a cool head.

But what about a high speed lowpass like this..?
